It could be anything. She could be tired and cranky, and it has nothing to do with Phil. Itâs a good excuse to teach her how to behave⊠âOkay, time to go home and get a nap. This is not how you should behave, so you must be tired.â
So âsorryâ to all the " libs" out there, but I know how MY folks would have handled it. One warning onlyâŠ.and then after I was able to sit down againâŠâŠâŠ.
maybe elly should ask Lizzie WHY she wants to go. Might be a simple answer like she left her teddy bear in the car and needs it. Might be something like she doesnât like things Uncle Phil does (something as âinnocentâ as he tickles her, or something worse). Maybe sheâs afraid Philâs going to play his trumpet and itâs too loud.
I have a real problem with parents and other adults that assume that a child who doesnât want to do something is just a brat and needs a spanking.

Youâd think a child that age would enjoy seeing her uncle.

Doesnât like being called âthe short one.â Also she may not like the smell of Philâs smoking.

Regardless of how innocent this whole comic series, always always listen to your children when they donât want to be around someone.

Lizzie instinctively knows that Uncle Phil is creepy.

Whatever happened to leaving the rugrats at home with a babysitter, and having a nice, adult-time visit with oneâs sibling over coffee? Sigh!

She is tired and doesnât want to fall asleep in a strange place â can you blame her?

âand the short oneâ probably didnât sit well with Lizzie. Even kids like to be called by their names, right? :)

Lizzieâs like me at that age. Visiting could be boring to a child-especially if there was no other kids or any toys around.

Thanks for posting that, Night-Gaunt49.
