I have to agree with the girls. So many places where the restrooms are “one-holers” as we say in the country, the sign on the door should say, “Restroom” and it’s first come first serve. Equal plumbing is not equal …

Nice to know that men aren’t the only ones who indulge in a sexist double standard every once in a while (and ladies, there is still one function for which even WE have to sit down!)

I guess Delta didn’t get the memo that going on a tree is ‘indecent exposure’ and counts as a misdemeanor. But details, right?

Not a good idea for teens to have unisex bathrooms in the schools. A lot of girls wouldn’t graduate, they’d be home taking care of the baby.

The solution is “Family Restrooms”, where a single dad can have the facilities to change the baby’s diaper without kneeling on the floor, and a mother or father can take the children of any age into a room where they will be safe from deviants and predators. As for women in the men’s and men in the women’s, that’s fine as long as they are single-seaters with a lock on the door. We are not yet “European” enough in the USA to not “freak out” at the idea of public shared multi-stall restrooms

its their own fault , if women would just go in do their business and get out they wouldnt be in such long lines.. but no ,women go in , gab with their girlfriends. talk on cell phones, put on makeup all while sitting on the toilet when they could be in and out .

Yeah, I can’t tell you how long it takes to lay out my makeup on the floor and apply eye shadow in bad lighting while sitting on the can – and it’s a real pity the way our cell phones only work when we’re peeing, so that’s why we save all our important calls for that occasion. Yup, totally our fault. .And maybe that’s why women actually wait until they’re in front of a mirror to put on their cosmetics and also hold off on the phone calls so that the person on the other end can’t hear them peeing and flushing. . The reason the line to use the ladies’ room is long is not for the mirror, or to use our phones, or to “gab to our girlfriends” – all of which we can do without lining up. The line is for the stalls – because unlike men, who can quickly use a urinal to “do their business” and therefore free up half again, (if not more) as many toilets, we need to use a toilet stall for everything. If it’s not really clean, we need to put down a liner. No matter what, we also have a lot more undressing to do, and once a month, at least one other thing to deal with that you men don’t. .So unless you really believe our different anatomy is somehow our “fault” or think you’re really going to be attacked by some rogue female whose diabolical secret plan is to take a full 15 minutes on the toilet putting on her mascara in the men’s room, you might want to reconsider just what it is you actually think is going on behind that door.

Hummm, Knute had no problem with the arrangements of a woman using the mens room. Why is it women think differently. Especially since in previous conversations we have established the woman’s room is usually in the worse condition. Tell you what, get rid of the lounge in your crapper and put in a few extra toilets. And quit going to the restroom in gangs and maybe just maybe you will find that there are no more long lines. Geesh.

My wife and 2 daughters take forever to pee just at home. They’ll spend minutes doing the same thing it takes my son and I <1 min to do. No makeup, no monthly visitor, no dirty toilet seat. Just go in, sit, pee, wipe, wash hands takes twice as long for them as for us.

As far as restrooms, there are a lot of solutions, all good ones mentioned in the comments.I gotta say that his is the first strip I’ve seen where it is revealed that, again, many women don’t really understand men very well…in spite of all the clever P.R. and propaganda.

Nya-nya…betcha I have more unites of “Womens’ Studies” that YOU do, and have had more women companions, too…

On a totally different subject, Bernice is looking really nice in this strip. Has the shape of her face changed? It seems much less round, with a more prominent chin. Not to mention a very pretty figure! Maybe a romance is in the works??

The really funny thing is this came up at pour church today. Some girls needed to use the boys restroom to wash their hands, but when I asked if there would be a time for the boys to uyse the girls restroom, I was told that would be unacceptable. Hypocrisy and Political correctness.

I don’t see what the problem is for some people. Hey, I have seen dads escort their daughters into the ladies’ room at work, and guys have said they’ve changed their daughter’s nappies in the men’s room. You go in, do your business, and leave.

And yes, I’ve had occasion to use the gents’. Either that or a major problem …

I have no problem with a guy using a Ladies’ “one-holer” if there’s a line for the Men’s, and no woman waiting for the Ladies. In fact, when I took a concealed carry class, I was the only female to about 30 guys. I used the toilet, exited, and offered to the guys who were standing in line for theirs. Since there wasn’t another female in the range, I thought it reasonable to share. Not one guy was willing to step out of their line to take me up on the offer.

Honestly I don’t see what the big deal is. It’s not like you don’t use the same restroom in a house… and if there were all stalls it’s not like anyone would see anything.

A few things: public buildings aren’t designed to fit around rest rooms. A wasted “few more square feet” is never “a few”, and unpaid for footage costs money. (Which you’d need a lot of for liability suits, but I digress…).That “solution” just exacerbates the problem, because by making the unisex stalls larger and fully enclosed you’re also reducing their number – and wow! You’re right back at the same problem – which was not enough stalls in the first place. .It’s also not a good idea to ever make a stall fully enclosed and lockable. Think like a predator and tell me why this vision would make his day.

Bernice needs a makeover, but I think Greg has locked himself in with his “girls”. I’d like to see Toni with a pixie cut like Michelle Williams and, at least, let Bernice have some narrower, more up to date frames for her glasses.

NG49 in a lot of cases it is cost in the sense that most buildings set aside the same floor space for restrooms regardless of whose restroom it is. I’m not sure what the ratio might be but it seems that in the same lenght of floor more urinals than stalls can be installed. Many older public buildings actually use long troughs instead of individual urinals. Now there’s your economic use of floor space.

Richard S. Russell: The principal opponent to ERA was Phyllis Shaffley, who went around the country telling people ERA world force women to leave their children and use unisex toilets. She left four kids at home and travelled by air. All airliners have had unisex toilets since British Airways put a toilet lid on an anchored bucket in the luggage compartment of a DeHavilland DH-9 in 1919. But she got very rich doing it.

So why make it easier for them by providing a totally enclosed space so no one can see how many feet are in the stall, providing a handy lock on the door, and then allowing them access and an excuse to hang around a small, exclosed room with only one entry, so they can wait for a female target and opportunity to appear? They won’t shout Eureka, they’ll throw a goddam parade. .Floor space and plumbing facilities are two different things – both are mandated by building codes and public buildings usually provide the minimum allowable by law.
