Jimbo: You'll have this back in a couple of hours! Rose: The cabin boy is Lars Von Pippin! Quick! Turn the page! Move your thumb! Lower! Hold the book higher! This was (almost) my wife and I when we read the Harry Potter books. But I read through them much more quickly than she could so there wasn’t much “sharing.”

It’s another chapter in the lives of Rose and Jimbo!

Apparently, Rose doesn’t believe in “Share, and share alike”!

We read the entire Harry Potter series to our younger children as bedtime reading. Every time a book or movie came out, we had to start from the beginning. This means we’ve read the first couple of books about ten times. Out loud. :) We never cared WHAT the kids read (no porn, of course), as long as they were reading. LIteracy is IMPORTANT. The only down side was that Youngest Son never heard the classic fairy tales and children’s stories. I’m not sure we even read Gren Eggs and Ham to him!

When you got the bedonkadonk you don’t need to share. But it is nice if you do.

I thought they were talking about reading to each other. Which is very nice and comfy by the way.

That is why my wife and I do not do that. We read at different speeds and really waiting your turn is really better.. Unless you both buy two copies of the book and read together that way.

There’s a way to having a great marriage: share a book.

Yes, that’s the only way to solve this problem. Reading to each other out loud. That way, you get to the juicy parts at the same time!

Uhm, does anyone else think it’s odd that “the latest best-seller” is available at the library?? For FREE? I’m even looking past the whole “going to the library” thing, which is so 20th century…

@Duffer37 – here’s the explanation: look at Jimbo’s perpetually red nose, we all know he has a story of alcohol abuse. During his latest drinking binge he stepped into a neighbour’s house and borrowed a random book thinking he was at the local library. Tomorrow morning he will have no recollection of the incident – but will feel an inexplicable need to download the Kindle Daily Deal.

@Duffer37,I thought about it, too. I guess it’s literary license.
