Caulfield: Maybe this will explain it: When I'm on vacation and i'm bored, I end up in the library. When I'm in school and I'm bored, I end up in hot water. Learning isn't my problem. Frazz: sitting still is your deal, an i'm not sure it's a problem.
I read somewhere that kids naturally need to move; itâs part of their physical growth process. I constantly figeted in those uncomfortable desks; I just couldnât sit still.
âHuman beings make life so interesting. Do you know, that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to invent boredom.â âTerry Pratchett.Boredom is something of an accomplishment, when you think of it that way.
I completely understand caulfieldâs issue. Itâs one thing to go to the library and look up something interesting. Itâ another to learn boring things in a boring classroom, where you finish the work in five minutes and then have to wait an hour for everyone else to fiish
âClay lies still, but bloodâs a roverâŠâ anybody remember that?I call myself a âperipatetic philosopherâ when you know me well. Sometimes I make a mantra out of good thinking questionsâŠlike, âWho what when where how and why, details details details?â Good for driving, much sharper later on. Ask better questions, get better answers. And better government, too.
@SharuniboyZ: There is a REASON that the military is a conformist organization. It has to be that way or it does not work well on the battleline. The same can NOT be said for most other institutions, including schools.
once read the quote " The key to happiness is nevering being bored" I donât recall who said it, but I made it may mantara and Iâve found it to be fairly true to life.

People should be ashamed to admit to being bored. It means thereâs not enough going on in their heads.

In the local public charter school for gifted children, they sit on bouncy balls because so few of them can keep still.
