Good use of irony.

Dern kids, never cry when you need ’em too.

They didn’t want popcorn!

I’m yet to see something like that happen at a restaurant.

I have seen where a few theatres during the week, or even during the day. They have parents bring their kids and the parents can have their kid in a movie without getting that “I just paid $20 to hear a screaming baby?!?” look from other patrons.

I’ll say! How can they sleep through all that noise?

When our cousin was an infant, he would sleep at noisy family gatherings; but the moment there was a lull in the conversation, he would wake up and whimper. When things got noisy again, he would go back to sleep.

Terrific idea! Now how about designated sober nights at rock concerts so I can hear the artist I paid to hear instead of the drunks bellowing.

“. . . they can watch the movie knowing that if their baby or kid fusses it’s OK.”A church we attended several years ago had a “crying room,” where the service could be seen through a large window and heard via a speaker. Moms could enjoy privacy, but still know what was going on. Great idea!

The Okinawan movie theater I went to today had a sign (in English for the Americans) asking/telling people not to bring in children under 3. I like that. But the Japanese/Okinawans typically don’t bring small children anyway unless it is a child’s movie.
