I really hope Zeke’s not recognizing Toggle’s mother. If it turns out Zeke is Toggle’s father, that would mean he married his step-sister.

The Great American Comic Strip just hit a high point they’ll talk about for decades to come. The wedding of Toggle and Alex.

There seems to be a strange similarity between the conversation that is the strip and the conversation that is this comments section. I can envision a parallel strip of readers looking at this strip with all the above comments appearing in the “word bubbles”.

Look at the lower left of center. Zonker is sitting down. Duke is not a direct relative or friend of either the bride or groom and therefore would not be invited. This is supposed to be a small, intimate gathering, not the performance art show the brides mother wanted.

Funny about Black Sabbath. In the late 80s Iommi used the name for an ever rotating cast of players, though you’d have to be a real fanboy to pick, say, Tony Martin out of a crowd.

Actually (writing Monday) it seems that GT is taking a vacation. That’s an old strip he’s using for Monday, and will probably continue to be old ones for a week or two.

Its rare to see mike, bd, zonker, boopsie, and all the other classic Doonesbury characters all in the same CANON comic strip picture together anymore these days. But considering that Alex still calls b.d UNCLE. That means there all still very close to each other and that’s very sweet and heartwarming.
