Zipper is a loser, but this strip still reminded me of one of the many reasons I hate Facebook. Like we donât have enough ways to get hurt as it is.

Itâs a shame theyâre fictional characters and I canât get their personal information from Facebook and rob them while theyâre away from home.

And by the way, I think Alex and Leo are cute in this sequence. I predict a long, loving albeit fictional marriage.

The worlds largest teflon frying pan is just up the road!

I imagine with all the PTSD and possibility of flashbacks, this is just the kind of honeymoon Leo needs. That, and it just fits Alexâs personality. I see a long, happy, and successful marriage ahead!

Wonder if Alex and Leo will come across the Griswolds? Oh, thatâs rightâŠ. Ellen told Clark âletâs just skip the worldâs largest ball of twine.â (Courtesy of âNational Lampoonâs Vacationâ)

A honeymoon is all about the lady. We guys donât really care so long as she is happy. If this trip makes the new bride happy and gives her memories she will cherish then do it guy.

Theyâre too far south! The worldâs largest ball of twine is in Darwin, MN.

Social mediaâŠThese forums kind of take me back to those thrilling days of yesteryear when social media consisted of calling a bulletin board, set up in some geeks living room, one at a time to read and leave messages, download software & play little text games. It all seemed so much more thrilling then.

Just so yâall know, my comment from yesterday:Kaffekup said, about 22 hours ago
âHon, if you go four hours off the main road, you could see the worldâs second largest ball of twineâŠâ(Apologies to Clark Griswold). And I lived in KS for about three years back in the early 70âs, when it was still in the 20th century.

This is the EXACTLY perfect time to visit sites like this one. When youâre taking the kids around the country, thereâs always the problem that theyâll take stuff like this seriously and begin collecting twine themselves.
Mythreesons over 12 years ago
We had a book called âOff the Beaten Trackâ with us when we RVâs around the country. Saw many unusual places and things. Loved every minute of it. Lordy, how I miss my husband and travel companion.

ââŠthis land is your land, this land is my landâŠâ â Is this trip GTâs homage to Woody Guthrieâs anniversary?

Deleted my Facebook account couple of weeks ago. The Eisenhower Museum is in Abilene, Ks., but I believe the Nimitz Museum is in his hometown of Fredericksburg, Tx.

Thatâs nothing! On our honeymoon my hubby took me to a gnome reserve. Yes, garden gnomes. (in England) Funniest part is that you had to wear a pointy hat, apparently so as to not scare the gnomes. It was insanely silly, but considering we have been married for many, many happy years, I guess it worked.

This kind of vacation is no good with kids because of all the driving. Thereâs a lot of dead time between attractions.
Unless they go a long way out of their way theyâve miss the Corn Palace. They can still do Carhenge if they head north from here, but I would save that for another trip.
cdward, my facebook friends are actually people I know. I like to meet new people, so I have my privacy set for âfriends of friendsâ, but when I go out of town I lock it down to just âfriendsâ. After I am home I open it back to âfriends of friendsâ.
