I’ve actually seen this happen. The poor kid was on a bike a bit too big and had to be pushed..and the decorations may not have fallen off but didn’t look fresh anymore
Love it! This is the Anti-Norman Rockwell family. A perfect depiction of a typical american family; hilarious, heartwarming and true. Fantasy never measures up to reality.

was Petey himself ever in a parade and complained about all that walking (and people staring at him)?

One of my cousins asked his dad to buy him a balloon, and when the answer was No, he sat down on the curb and refused to watch the parade.

Not his fingernails. His arm. This is serious stuff.

I’m with Petey on this one—any parade longer than 30 minutes makes me want to chew my arm off, too.

Poor Mr. Otterloop! I hope he is given a cold one at parade’s end.

Well, Madeline is enjoying the parade. I guess one out of four isn’t so bad?

Put Petey, the arm-eating Geek, in the Parade!
