3. When Stephen King-Kong’s 22nd book came out, I wanted to go for “IT”…well, the bookstore was too far away so I took the bus instead…(but the bus wasn’t such a good read – although it said “Goodyear” on its tires)
This strip reminds me of a “new art” style. Grab any good photo off the Net, load it into an art program, use the “oil painting” filter on it, and print it out on special canvas paper using a fancy oil-based printer (some can even add brush strokes). Then see how much you can sell it for at the local art fair. ;D
“Oh my honey… look at this wonderful impressionism!"
My second wife would believe the most outrageous things when told to her by people she liked. If she were mad at me, she would argue about whether gravity was real.
We’re all guilty of such things to a degree. I used to think a woman was intelligent, if she laughed at my jokes. It was years before I realized that many women have developed the knack of “knowing where a laugh goes” without any idea of the humor involved.
As far as potential for accomplishment is concerned, the point is to be flexible about your goals. With hard work, getting other people to pay for training you, years of experience and changing jobs every few years, it’s still possible to achieve something very similar to your original goals. :)
1st panel, the painting is a Van Gogh, the other day on Aunty Acid the painting was a Jackson P-o-l-l-o-c-k. Btw I had to put the dash between the letters, for some reason the algorithm they use thinks it is a banned word… oh well.

And be happy for other people once you get where you’re going. Remember how luck and other people helped you in your journey. Pay it forward.
