This is like the joke about the guy who ran to the clothing store because he heard that women’s dresses were half off.
A cut-rate sale. They’ve slashed prices.
Well there is some 100% books left on shelf horsie.
A sign of the times!
Must be a divorce sale.
This is definitely the opening scene of some unaired Twilight Zone episode.
Abridged editions only.
Horace you would be better off shopping where you buy one and get one free…!
oh, and doesn’t it look like Horace is eyeing where the elevator was…?
thee uh, store too. :\
Misinterpreted the sign, 50% off means half a desk, half a book, half the clothes on the cashiers.
I totally don’t understand this. I’ll look again after my 2nd cup of coffee.
I gotta admire their dedication to upholding the terms of their advertisement.
I recall going into a Victoria’s Secret to see what the large window signs reading ALL BRAS HALF OFF really meant.
So don’t buy any trilogies. :)
Good thing this isn’t a BOGO sale! It’d be all gone by now! ☺️☺️☺️
That’s a novel idea. And it’s bound to happen.
Ha! Took me a sec. But, HA!
But that’s 50% AWAY. not 50% OFF.
Half of the building has been taken AWAY, but the top half of the building was not taken OFF.
I went to a sale once that advertised “Pants 50% off!”.
They were selling shorts.
