I worked part-time for Civil Service for a while after college. I would quit but each time I needed a job, I would go back. They would snatch me up like somebody finding a $20 bill on the pavement. I quit three times before I found something better closer to home.
Don’t feel bad, it might be for the better ….. I know ……. I use to plow snow and had some contracts ….. I had one that was a pain and I wished I could get out of it but didn’t want to be sued for breach ….. so I kept doing their plowing … then almost the end of the season (they only owed me $500) I got a call from the management company at 4 PM, as I was getting equipment ready for a storm coming and the guy said “We’re cancelling your contract” and without hesitating I answered “Thank you, I was wondering how I could get out of this contract” …… then told the guy that this place was more of a problem then even the hospital was ….. could have heard a pin drop …. then he said good by ….. ;)

Did he even work for them when he was “working” for them?

Maybe he could go back to them as an executive; do nothing, and get paid for it.

I think it’s pretty much assured you won’t work for them again, Horace.
