Independence Day: A day to celebrate freedom. Sadly some people will “choose” today to free one or more fingers from their hands.

He just gave America a finger!

I don’t do fireworks.

For someone, somewhere in America… today will be the last day they have ten fingers.

Nothing like bring home the war to those vets suffering from PTSD!

A friend of mine was an ER doc. Lots of kids got a new nickname that night, Lefty. And at least 1 Darwin Award winner that night.

Good (and painful) gag. Visually, the thing that strikes me is the clever positioning of the fingers. The way the thumb is placed, it blends into the palm of the hand. So at a glance, the thing that stands out for readers are those remaining 3 1/2 fingers which ties into the dialogue perfectly.

At least the guy still has the middle finger that is crucial to his freedom of expression…

Be careful out there.
