3rd panel, the sideways silhouette of Tracy: Wha…!? He has the chiseled features of an Easter Island statue. Look at the area of his eyeball, the position of his eyelash. How can can he see blood with his eyes closed? Even with his eyes wide open the optical view formed by his overhanging brow and sunken orbits must give him severe tunnel vision.
It’s too bad that such poor art distracts from the excellent storyline.
I think Locher got mixed up. That body is supposed to be over at his editorial cartoon commenting on the Gulf Oil spill with a caption like “BP: the Armpit of Pollution.”
The slit eyes in panel one suggests a new Chinese newspaper is nibbling at the TMS door. They’ve baited the hook again.
Given a little more luck they may get back up to 50 newspapers before Locher retires
So Johnny Nothing wasn’t trying to kill Tracy after all–he had a long-standing grudge against the bit-part actor who’s playing King Pynn! Probably goes back to their shared childhood, when Pynn wouldn’t let little Johnny play with the Pig on Wheels.
Joe-Allen “Joe” Doty said,No one is LITERALLY “ambidextrous.”That word refers to a person who can use BOTH OF HIS RIGHT HANDS.
How you figure that, Joe-Allen “Joe”? Since the Merriam-Webster definition of “ambidextrous” is “using both hands with equal ease,” wouldn’t somebody who could use both hands be, by definition, literally ambidextrous?
(I suppose you’re going to blather something about the word deriving from the Latin dexter, meaning “situated on the right,” but the word “literal” refers to something adhering to a word’s primary meaning, not to its etymology.)

I’ll bet the audience is on the edge of their seats. Disappointed that Macy wasn’t the guy on the floor, but still excited.

Tracy, from years of experience on the force, knows the difference between stage blood and real blood…which the audience probably can’t see…
…or Johnny Nothing’s not that great a script writer….

The criminals in this strip should really rethink this practice of committing their crimes in front of an audience.

According to Webster it’s “using both hands with equal ease”. That’s literal enough for me. Remember, we speak English here, not Latin.
FLIGHT SUIT over 14 years ago
Yeah Joe-Allen “Joe” Doty, this here’s America! If you wanna speak Latin, you can just move back to…
Um…
Whatever country it is where they speak Latin.
