Oh you have GOT to be kidding! LOVE IT! Can’t stop laughing. First, Tracy makes a joke and now this. Friends, you simply MUST watch this, and be sure to stay to the end. Have a great week!
One of my early childhood memories was seeing Dick Tracy tied to a door by the villain of the moment and being floated along in a Chicago sewer. Over the years, our hero has been in one tight spot after another. This one is right up there with the most diabolical, but he always comes back. This is a great comic strip! Staton and Curtis are doing a great job bringing Tracy to a new generation.
I have to allow Team Tracy a humorous touch occasionally to lighten the strip. But I am rather surprised at how ineffectual Sam is at even slowing the runaway gurney!
Slapstick? I dunno – reality has it’s share of comic moments – if we aren’t afraid to laugh!I love the story. It’s more of a tease, introducing Stiletta, and letting us know she believes in long range planning (so we never know where she’s lurking, and plotting). Just as the Mr. Crime story was spread out over a year, I’m sure Stiletta will be popping in and out of stories until next summer.
Didn’t Mike Cutris say that this was based upon something which actually happened? Wonder if that includes the method of delivery into the hospital…Very enjoyable.
WOO HOO!!! #38!!! lol! see what happens when you dont check the strip til 12:14pm eastern? loL! just BARELY staying in the top 40.. i think this is the lowest ranking i’ve had so far! anyway, sam must have an INCREDIBLE “shoe guy” not to mention strong calves! and what luck that there just HAPPENS to be a hospital E.R. right at the bottom of the hill! love sam’s “shout out” trying to find what corner he is on lol!
gweedomurray if youre here.. in response to your joke yesterday about changing my name to jtull… its TSULL because of the first letter of my first name (Timmy) and the first four of my last (Sullivan).. the 2121 is reference to my favorite ny yankee PAUL O’NEILL… tsull2121 also happens to be my aol name lol
I’m sorry, I haven’t learned how to post links. But, there is a You Tube video with Ian Anderson playing flute for Justin Hayward, while Justin sings Nights in White Satin – something Ian has said he has always wanted to do. If you’re interested, I hope you can find it by searching You Tube Music.
Been on vacation for a fortnight and just got all caught up on this great story line. Really fun reading so many great strips in one sitting. The art was awesome, and i loved the story, including the somewhat slapstick, improbable escape. No more improbable than we’ve seen in many an action flick.
Pioneering comedian Phyllis Diller dies at age 95RIP Phyllis. Thank you for showing us that female comedians have as much to share as those male ones. In a world with Bob Hope, Dick Van Dyke, George Burns, Abbott and Costello, the Three Stooges, The Marx brothers, Jerry Lewis, Shelley Berman, and countless other male comedians. You were in a class of your own. You will be missed.
I am truly amazed how good this strip has become since it changed hands. I actually find myself looking forward to seeing the next installment. I would have to say it’s getting up there with the classic strips from the 40’s that were reprinted in “Greatest Cases”.Staton & Curtis, I tip my fedora to you!

Is it inappropriate to laugh at the slapstick nature of today’s strip?

You have to wonder if Sam actually knew where they were when he made his move in yesterday’s strip. Me, I don’t believe in coincidences.
Still pretty good stuff though.

Sam sure is light as a feather today.

This is known as “Jumping The Shark” I’m willing to forgive this plot twist due to the incredible artistry and much of what led up to it. ;)

Stiletta allowed Sam to keep his wrist wizard? So MCU could have been following their every move this whole time.

Franz probably developed a route that involved zizagging by hospitals in the city so the ambulance wouldn’t look too suspicious.

I do hope the doctors check to see if something was implanted – that’s what I’d expect of Stiletta!

Why is there an IV drip at all? Stiletta seems to be giving Tracy a transfusion rather than removing blood.
