Good morning! I’ve been away for a few days and when I come back all heck is breaking loose! This strip just keeps getting better and better!

I justrealised how Liz has managed to become such a hottie! By turning the Chief’s job over to Pat Patton, I would imagine several hundred metric tons of stress have left her life.

Coldsooner, I don’t think Flite Suit meant anything political, however tempting as it may be. My first glance at that car reminded me of the old bubble gum machine lights, too. But your response about the Chicago budget tickled me, as well. We don’t talk about the “U” word here.

i’m loving the fact that lee ebony is getting some serious “airtime” in mike and joe’s dick tracy.. and lizz is looking the best she has since the gould/fletcher/collins days. the vintage police car is great, tho youd expect the detective unit wouldnt be driving around in a cherry top… jim wouldnt they generally use unmarked sedans? either way its no big deal to me i’m just glad i get to read such a fantastic strip every day! looking forward to more of junior, sparkle, honeymoon, moon maid, and hey.. WHERES JOE TRACY!??! lol

In the 9-15 strip, Sam told Tracy over the Wrist Wizard that he had a meet set up with Phishface, and that his info was that Phishface hung out at the Aquarium. I was expecting the team to go directly to the Aquarium. I wonder why they headed to the sushi bar as Sam’s “last location”?

Uh-oh, Mike & Joe……… the snarkin’ is gettin close!

Sam called Tracy when he was at the Acquarium. So wouldn’t that be his last known location? I don’t recall Sam ever calling from the Sushi bar. Did he? And the whale sign is in front of the mirror so the bartender is looking straight at it as are we. Or that’s what it looks like to me.

Looks to me that Liz has been marginalized in favor of DT. Liz’s hard edged cop/police chief image was stealing DT’s thunder in the Locher era, now she’s been reduced to just another “pretty face” companion. Sad, very sad.

first, sorry for another post so quickly, but i thought i had covered everything previously. second, rx71 personally i think it was a mistake to make lizz police chief to begin with.. unless of course tracy DIDNT WANT the position and he referred her. like i had said before, i never read “the locher years” because the NY DAILY NEWS dropped the strip before then so i dont know (AND i also wont comment on that era, as i have said before) from what i have personally seen of locher’s work, i dont liek it.. and from what i have HEARD/READ here and on the yahoo group, not many others did either. HOWEVER, i WILL give credit to locher for keeping the strip alive for 30+ y ears, however what “credit” he has earned is rapidly being eaten away by his angry, hate filled, obnoxious, annoying comments being plasterd on this site. Mr Locher?SDM.. seriously, what is your problem? is it the fact that the readers are “heralding a new age of tracy” and that joe and mike’s stint up til now is getting AMAZING reviews by the fans, both here and on the yahoo board? you should be glad and happy for them that they are able to carry on the tracy legacy in such a fashion and that the fans enjoy the strip. instead, we get hate filled venomous posts from you daily, saying how boring the strip is. Sorry, but from what i have read before, if it was YOU still writing, we’d yet to uncover the finale of the abner kadaver storyline. like i said earlier today, if you dont like the strip thats fine, but save the snarky hate laden posts, they get tiresome quickly and you are making yourself look like a bitter angry man who got replaced at his job and cant accept that fact. It’s sad really, that you cant seem to move past the whole thing and at least give mike and joe credit for the work they have done… but then again, judging by your writing skills referred to here and on yahoo, i suppose we will get that in about 3 or 4 months. getting back to lizz, when she was originally brought into the strip she was always a “secondary character” anyway so being “marginalized in favor of dick tracy” isnt any sort of snub… after all the strip IS named “dick tracy” not “Lizz Worthington” or “Dick Tracy, Lizz, Sam, Patton, Junior, Sparkle, Tess, Joe, Honeymoon, Sparkle Jr, Lee Ebony, and company” Tracy has top billing for a REASON…he IS, WAS, and ALWAYS WILL BE the star of the strip

I love today’s strip, top to bottom.As Jim Doherty said, the visual of a patrol car with lights blazing is more exciting than a dark blue Crown Vic.And the sight of the cops reflected in the sushi bar mirror is great (though it does get lost because of the colorist; the mirror area should be a different color, denoting the light from the large window apparant behind them).From Joe’s reaction, I’d say Phishface isn’t the only questionable character who dines there.

I, for one, do not believe SDM and Mr. Locher are one and the same (Especially, since even though Locher is retired from DT, he is still employed by TMS as an editorial cartoonist). And for anyone looking to impersonate someone on the ’net, why not Google the words “Tony La Russa” and “Twitter” and see what happened to someone who decided it would be fun to impersonate the legendary baseball manager.

For the rest of us, mom always said it was best not to feed the trolls…

sorry if my typos upset you SDM, but my computer at work doesnt spell check these things… only when i’m typing a word document or email.. plus the fact that my boss sits right behind me so i cant stay online too long without getting in trouble. oh, and i love the “goading tactic” youre using, calling me “chicken”. what are you, in third grade? you sitting there “flapping your wings” too? lol. remember, YOURE the one with all the venom here, not me.
