Kandikane Lane! Well, we were pretty close yesterday, and she does make documentaries, as I thought. I love the stripe down the arm of her jacket and the candy-striped braided hair.

Ms. Lane is obviously the daughter Vitamin never knew he had; they have the same creepy bulging blue eyes popping out of thier heads! LOL! Mom’s doing better. Her bleeding is due to a stomach ulcer. She’s still in the hospital for awhile. Guess after all these years I still cause her grief!

And she is a beauty! Beautiful comic strip female characters make for enjoyable stories. Looking forward to learning more about KandiKane Lane.

It looks like Coffee is better today. According to Gasoline Alley he wasn’t feeling so good yesterday.

This story arc is supposed to run until the end of the year. So Kandikane Lane might be plotting something that will come into play during the Christmas season.Cute character!

At least Annie is the same syndicate, as well as being cancelled. Snuffy Smith is King Features. I’m surprised at the crossover. I wonder if it required a lot of paperwork.

I agree with the common sentiment as expressed here, that Kandikane Lane is a cute one, and a biker at that, with her canting costume! I hope that she doesn’t turn out to be a baddie; indeed, though avenger09 seems to have meant it in jest, I would not be surprised if in fact she did turn to be old Vitamin’s daughter or (more likely) granddaughter!

The Snuffy Smith crossover is funny enough, though that sheriff’s office really does need some new (or even new secondhand) furniture!

Glad to hear your mom is doing better, avenger09; you had better not be giving her such a hard time as you give us!

Morning, Tracyville!It seems unlikely that we’re going to get a crossover story between a TMS character (Dick Tracy) and a King Features character (Snuffy Smith), but if we do, it’s sounds like it ought to be fun! Will it run simultaneously in both strips? I can’t wait to find out?

It’s possible that Kandikane Lane is not a villain, just because she has a name matching her design. There have been other sympathetic characters with clever names; Christmas Early, Frizzletop, Ted Tellum – actually Vitamin himself. We’ll have to wait and see what her intentions are, I guess.

Vitamin’s “love interest” usually seems to be himself, so his interest in her would probably be professional, and mirror his with the Summer Sisters, who were also young enough to be his great granddaughters, lol

I’m sure that Team Tracy presented the story idea to King Features and got permission to use Barney Google and Sparkplug.-—-I think it was a great idea, and well carried off.It started here, then moved to the other strip. It doesn’t interrupt the flow here, and it’s sure to draw readers from one to look at the other.(I haven’t read Barney Google in, uh, a long time, but I will now.)Maybe someday Mandrake may take his magic act to Tracyville. He’s a illusionist (not sorcerer) and does his share of mystery solving (without a big entourage).
