RIP Glen LarsonI’ve been bummed all day. I literally grew up watching his shows, and all of them were my favorites. I even own the DVD sets to a few of them now, and re-watch them sometimes. Hard to think what life would have been like without The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider, Magnum PI, and Quincy.

@Tarry PlaugerNot to mention The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, McCloud, and others I’ve forgotten, but used to watch all time. For the last 24 hours or so, I’ve had the Knight Rider theme going through my head. Geln Larson was a writer of that music, as he was for many of the themes of his shows.

Well done, Sam. The film adaptation of Harper Lee’s novel is tremendous, providing Gregory Peck the role of a lifetime, as Atticus Finch.

the exact quote from Kandikane to Margot on 11/8/14 says this

“Oh hush Margot, I dont teas you Lois about the men in your lives. At least Vitamin doesnt wear a cape.”

Sorry Tarry, Neilwick and Jpuzz.. but Kandikane mentioning Lois in that statement lends itself to mean that she is a sister rather than a maid, a close friend etc… and Jpuzz… ys Margot is The Shdow’s “main squeeze” just like Lois Lane is Superman’s.

Why would Kandikane reference a maid, or a close friend etc in a comment like that?

Nope, sorry.. but it seems obvious that the hint here is that Margot, Kandikane and Lois Lane are all sisters… and for whoever it was yesterday that said Lois Lane only has one sister, named Lucy… perhaps you werent reading this strip a little over a year ago when “Oswald’s Brother” Broadway Bates made his return. The storyline itself started out with some sort of spotlight signal flashing across the sky and Broadway leaving the town and mentioning something about his brother

Not much to comment on, cause Not Much of Substance Happening !

Except Staton does have a nice," healthy looking" profile of Sam in panel 3In the pink of health and apparently toothpick and Nicotine Patch FREE. Would be excellent art to go with a No Smoking Ad !

This whole thing about capes assumes Kandikane was talking about super-heroes.Historical reenactors wear capes. So do some people who dress up as fictional characters for conventions (or just for fun). Such characters include Dracula, Doctor Who (the 3rd doctor), the Phantom of the Opera, Little Red Riding Hood, and even some super-types. And I know a doctor who works at a local hospital and wears a cape (though he calls it a cloak). Gosh – maybe Margot or Lois is dating him?

So will VF be talking to Tracy about his infatuation with Kandikane Lane? Or will it be about his costar Mr. Cushing? Or both?

I don’t think he’s taken much notice of Mr. Cushing. Vitamin tends to have a one-track mind in my opinion.

I’m always interested to see how comic strips are adapted into films. I actually think that the 1990 Disney Dick Tracy film did a pretty good job of reproducing that comic book feel. Obviously, not everyone would agree with me on that.

Robert Rorke, TV editor at the New York Post didn’t get it, in my opinion. He wrote a new days ago, “Pacino won an Oscar nomination for his hammy performance as Big Boy Caprice in the “Dick Tracy” spoof. Everything about his makeup and costume was over-the-top — including that schnozz.” Do any of you honestly believe that movie was a “spoof” of the Dick Tracy strip?

Just released today, is a trailer for the Peanuts 3-D movie coming out next Christmas (2015). I think they’ve actually done a good job of translating the comic flat comic strip drawings into three dimensions without losing the look of the original.
