Mendoza is still promising a gang after “one more little job” but we know that DJ does not intend to supply one. Like I was saying, killing people was not in Specs’ plan.
I think Mendoza’s last little job is bumping off Specs & Spicy. Let’s not forget the mini-drones. They are photographing all of this and sending in somewhere. Help is on the way!!
Wow, Specs is dense enough to block x-rays. That idiot still thinks he’s going to get his own gang, and go into business for himself. He’s my candidate for dumbest bad guy in Tracy’s rogue’s gallery.

Rest In Peace Paul Ryan! The comics legend, and artist on The Phantom comic strip, has passed away. I had the honor of being somewhat friends with Paul, having spoken to him numerous times thru emails and on Facebook… and I had told him several times that he is one of my favorite comics artists of all time and thanked him for his contributions to my years of comics reading entertainment. Paul is truly an unsung legend in the comics industry and an unbelievable talent, and the world is a sadder place for his passing. Thank You Paul, you will never be forgotten
Y’know.. I JUST took a closer look at the guy behind Specs who is lowering his bandana..and I spy a mustache under there…and I’d SWEAR he looks remarkably like good ol’ Johnny (THE MAN!!) Adonis to me!
RE: Speculation on the figure standing behind Specs in panel 3:I think it’s the same person who is in panel 1. i.e., Kiko – Same open shirt over a bare chest, same kerchief over the mouth, same sun glasses. And panel 1 clearly shows his arm tattoo, so it is Kiko.
Paul Ryan also had a long career with Marvel & DC comics – Joe Staton connection- drawing Fantastic Four, Avengers, & Avengers West Coast. He had a clear, smooth style and was always dependable, staying on books for a considerable period. He was one of the good unsung artists of the time.
Lately I have been watching the beautifully remastered “Mannix” series on H&I channel. So have I. Mannix was a favorite for my sister and me when it was on “back in the day”. The only thing is, I think they are editing certain scenes to make room for more commercials. I know there used to be 4 parts per episode, with those squares closing off the screen at the end of each segment. Now there are more commercial breaks, and I’ve noticed that some things don’t quite make sense, as if they have left out dialog or something, to explain how Joe gets from point A to point B in his deductive reasoning. I know we need commercials, but I wish they would leave the whole program for us to see.

Kiko does intend to kill Tracy. This is the first confirmation of that we have had.

In an earlier strip, Spicy said that Specs should do something legal with his new glasses. Well, the last time I checked, murder was NOT legal !

Happy Monday every body. I wonder if anyone else has tried Specs specs? They must only work for him, other wise he’d be under a pile of rocks too.

Is there a difference between a landside and a landslide, or is that just another hasty misspelling in panel #2?

I imagine that Terry Beatty will have to take over, at least temporarily.

I wonder just how tough the Wrist Wizard™ really is. We may find out.
All I can say is that Dick Tracy’s wrist radio didn’t come out of it too well at all the last time he was in Cuba. A rock landed on it then, too.Neil Wick over 8 years ago
I didn’t even examine the context when I replied to tsull2121 earlier.

Good Evening, Bill and the ailing Comet !
I just realized now that “Bill Raley and Comet” sounds like “Bill Haley & His Comets.” I wonder why I didn’t see that before.
