Last Monday my beloved Biscuit left us peacefully on his own while I was holding him in my arms as we were waiting at the vets office to put him to sleep. As heartbroken as we were, we’re grateful that God answered our prayersthat we wouldn’t have to put him down. Thank you everyone who encouraged me last week with your kind words. I know every pet lover understands the void I still feel.
So while I wouldn’t mind the occasional cameo by other comic characters, working them into the center of the story line for weeks on end is pretty annoying.
Great, expressive, Eisnerian panels today; especially panel 2 with the Spirit’s facial expression. And it is good to see that the Spirit has enough strength in his left arm to secure that necktie for the big killer of a dozen individuals! Urk!

URK? Double Am is probably Dutch and remembered his hometown while grasping for breath.

Wracked my brain
Until I caused myself pain
Trying to find words to rhyme
I’d type and then delete
Each line incomplete
it all seemed a waste of my time
Then suddenly I saw
An enormous man claw
That would have made plastic man proud
Stretching across panel two
Magilla’s friend from the zoo
I found myself laughing out loud
So I’ll forget today’s poem
And say goodnight from this home
A decision that I admit makes me proud

The Double Am is not a big fan of new neckties — at least not now.

Looks like this story will end without ‘The Spirit’ fighting ten men, all at once. :(

Reminds me of Tracy’s fight with Jerome Trohs’ wife Mamma back in the ’40s. Gotta love that sling.

So has anyone come up with a favored reason why Perenell Flammel was murdered?

Will Tracy take out Ramon in tomorrow’s strip?
