Sawtooth had enough of a headstart on Speed Racer and his companion that he should have been able to retrieve his stash and make a clean getaway before they even showed up.

Say goodbye to Sawtooth cuz this wont end well at all for him.

Good thing the final confrontation is taking place in a cemetery, saves the effort of carting the corpse away after the smoke clears

I predict Mario the cabbie will storm into the cemetery to see if Sawtooth split on him, giving beaverboy a hostage and getaway vehicle which will lead to a bullitt type chase through the streets of Tracyville, which will be interrupted several times for unwanted updates on the boring “I Am your Father!” saga.

He could have just stayed in the hot-tub with the beautiful women, livin’ the life, as it were, but NOOOOOO….. had to be proud, couldn’t stop at Glitch, had to go after Tracy.

Sawtooth, this is gonna hurt.

Tremendous use of the two-panel strip. Sawtooth’s dreams of winning have suddenly turned to ash. Those bills might as well be early falling leaves for all the good they will do him. Sam has Tracy’s back and Sawtooth has no chance. The slow-rolling freight train and taxi ride were no match for the detectives’ ability to drive as fast as they wished.

Sawtooth’s first thought: WTF? How the hell did they find me? And as Neil pointed out above, and I queried yesterday, we are all wondering how Ishida knew that Sawtooth was on the run and where he would be headed to in Minot.

Tracy made a small math error. No matter how much money Sawtooth is holding, it will cover a fraction of his bail (assuming bail is an option) because that is the very definition of a fraction.

Erk! From “relieved” in panel 1 to “deer in the headlights” in panel 2, Sawtooth’s emotional life is going through some very unstable moments. Tracy and Catchem! Why do those two always show up just when I am on the verge of success? Ya’d think it was all Written Beforehand!

seanyj, I predict that tomorrow Sawtooth with express shock that Tracy is there and Dick, after a brief timeout to sing a Beatles song will foolishly mention Ishida’s involvement with exposing Sawtooths plan.

You can bank on it!!

Sawtooth is a tough, menacing customer. I can’t see him being taken in quietly without a fight of some type….
