Cliffhanger! The truth is about to come out, whether B.O. wants it to or not. The only thing is that we’ll have to wait 16 days to find out what happens next.

The reciever of Tess’s phone looks like that of a typical landline phone with a cord. But there’s no cord connecting the receiver to the set here. I thought cordless recievers were more flat looking with an antenna on them or something.

I would say that’s a big 10-4, Dick.

Never mind that that old crank phone wouldn’t work at all with no touch tone, but she’s turned AWAY from the mouthpiece.

Boy, internet dial-up connection at the Plenty house must be hell.

“Keep cranking that modem, Maw! Yer almost up to 28k baud!”

Refresh me: Why was Tess going to leave Dick a few years ago?

I can’t stand people who call and don’t identify themselves and expect you to know who’s calling even though you didn’t like them enough to add them to your Call List so that their name comes up instead of just their number and you’re left stammering until they say something that triggers your memory and then you kick yourself for getting stressed out for a minute when it was only “that asshole”.

Panel, shouldn’t Tess say that B O hasn’t seen the front page of the paper as yesterday was never delivered and “todays” paper was missing the front page. So when B O’s wife asks Tess,“Is there anything special on todays front page”. That means that they haven’t seen the front page, not that they have seen the entire newspaper. Or am I simply not seeing something

In surgery after her gunshot, the surgeon was afraid Tess would die. This from a through-and-through in the upper arm?

There are several inconsistencies in this story. Why?

Inconsistency? Thy name Stanton/Curtis. ..BTW, from the ominous Wick comment above, I smell, and I do mean smell, another “Minit Mystery” that lasts 2 weeks. Guest artist? Winsor McCay perhaps?

Wow! Looks like Tess got more than just a sling for her arm wound while in the hospital! That remarkably quick-healing cosmetic surgery is simply amazing! She looks so young again!

Gravel Gertie might be more easily understood if she bothered to speak into the mouthpiece of her old phone. But Art demands that it be allowed to violate old-fashioned boundaries….

Finally, we see that Tess has not lost any of her swift-wittedness: she immediately deduced that the reason Gertie hasn’t seen the papers in two days is that B.O. has!

Hope BO Plenty doesn’t do something stupid. But I don’t understand how Sparkle could not know about Breathless. Given her connections to the Tracy family she has to know something about Breathless.

It looks like sometime after Tess was shot during the showdown with Shaky at the Tracy Agency Tess got a haircut. In that showdown, I don’t recall Tess being shot in the arm.
