Well, there’s no doubt now that she is after Shaky’s $50,000. She might be surprised to know that Tracy would never have bitten if Breathless had offered to cut him in.

Now, we know how B.O. will likely also be targeted. I’m sure that will be a surprise to him. It’s surely not what he was afraid of.

I will miss Mark’s presence as well. True, there are people on the board who should be taken off but are allowed to persist. They must be friends of the company to be allowed to carry on the way they do and get a free pass while others do some small innocuous thing and are summarily shot.

If she’s dressing the part, those leg o’ mutton sleeves, dress length, and reinforced toe and heel hosiery replants the original story in the early 70’s.

I guess that’s better than risking parole in 6 months for 500 bucks or whatever it was!

I wonder if this “Breathless Mahoney” is the original “Breathless Mahoney”’s daughter or a cousin ?

Fortuna Dyer is a successful actress cast as Breathless Mahoney. She wants to meet Tracy, and seems ignorant to the fact that he is incorruptible. She wants to stay in character, yet should do more research. Is she open to criminal activity, or merely speculating about the character she will play? She could be the villain of this story, or the victim of crime. We do not yet have a motive or a crime. Interesting set up so far…and more good art.

She’s having too much fantasies about Dick Tracy. This can’t end well.

2-…I’m glad my agent worked it so I could sleep on the set of this D movie. They’re not paying me enough to stay at any of the local roach motels. Plus this décor takes me back to my hay days when I was famous!

Shaky tried to extort Tess, now Fortuna is going to try and extort Tracy himself… makes you wonder exactly just how big is this rut that Mike has gotten himself into that he obviously can’t get out of

HOLY SHNIKEE! I tried to find the comment that got Root Machine the boot only to find they erased every instance of her. It’s like she was Amish and they caught her smoking a cigarette or something. It’s a police state I tell ya. Not that I’m complaining. No sir. Not me. Toeing the line here boss.

Looking at the second panel puts a sympathetic cramp in my foot.

Well, I might have been wrong about this interesting Fortuna. She sure deserves a second look. (although I would rather be looking at the curvaceous, yet charming Edison Lighthouse.)

The original story with Breathless, B.O Plenty and the $50,000 was rather long, but I just did a fast scan, and it looks like the money changed hands several times. Mrs. Mahoney to Breathless to B.O. to Itchy Oliver, who lost all that was left of it in a car fire. So whatever this Breathless thinks she has in mind, there isn’t any $50,000. B.O. spent some of it, Breathless spent a bunch of it, and then Itchy lost the rest of it in the fire.

I guess the fact that Breathless’ mother, Elia, also knew about the $50,000 didn’t become public knowledge. But people should have suspected even if Tracy and company couldn’t prove anything.

Method actress Fortuna “Breathless Mahoney” Dyer may be past her peak but is still curvaceous and even if strictly from-a-bottle still a dumb blonde. She doesn’t know the full backstory of the paltry $50000 in which she seems to be so interested, but she appears dead-set on involving both Tracy and B.O. Plenty. Sometimes such an actress may blur the lines between fantasy and reality.. It is not (yet) clear to me if she is consciously crossing to the Dark Side or if she is just unclear as to the concept. What is clear enough is that either way she is Trouble in Tracyville….
