Some rocks are worth more than others. Pretty nice “rock” in his tie, too. I’m not sure how often fashions in murder change, but I hope the rock is worth a lot. It might be a while.
The Russians have shown an interest in your type of murder, Yeti, according to news reports. It’s just that their products seemingly aren’t as effective as yours.
Yeti isn’t that smart if he’s planning the caper on speculation, with no buyers lined up. And it is outside of his usual field, so it shows he’s got a ton of confidence without any apparent justification.
Just how big is the space rock? I hope Yeti wasn’t judging its size by the picture in the newspaper. It would be terrible to have a perfect plan foiled by finding out he should’ve included a dump truck instead of the shoe box he sent in with Daisy.
In the TMI Files, how I ended up with Yeti and his little pals. I came up with the name Yeti first (I read what I can locate on cryptozoology for fun) and then worked up a stocky character with no visible neck. Rabbit similarly started as a name and I filled in around that, specifying shaggy hair and those teeth. Going for ‘offbeat’ with both. ‘Daisy’ came about as I needed a henchman who had a gimmick, such as an obsession. It went from there.
Until tastes in murder swing in his favor again….I suppose going forward in Tracy land, gun fire will be a thing of the past. Now if only all future criminals who show up on this comic strip got the memo.
Someone else said this a few days ago, and today’s strip for some reason reinforces it in my mind: Yeti does indeed look very much like Solomon Grundy.
So far, Yeti is not leaving Daisy much scope for independent foul-ups. Yeti’s plan is detailed (though that does not mean it will succeed) and should keep Daisy from any too egregious deviations.
But Wichita1.0 tells us Tracy returns to the stage tomorrow, so for a while whatever Yeti and his henchman are up to will remain unseen by us….

Good morning™, deadly deviants !
Did the cut off 4th panel show maniacal boisterous laughing ? I bet Daisy is hoping for a no risk factor on his part.

So, no doubt this has already been discussed, but was it Yeti’s hand that crawled from out the river at the beginning of the Stokes/Vampire story?

And the inaccurate coloring on the hair and shirt continues. It’s going to be a shock come the next Sunday pages, where they revert.
