Has Mysta Chimera ever experienced a ride on the Space Coupe? I don’t remember her ever having done so. She seems surprised at how short the trip was even though she didn’t really know where they were going. So, they are at the secret place. It will be interesting to see it.
wow, it looks like it’s a huge underground base… and today the coupe is looking REALLY REALLY nice, as opposed to the other day… Shelley did good, but the cups on the ends of the arms are a bit too large, I think… hope she does justice to New Moon Valley and the base itself…
30 minutes? The Moon Colony IS on Earth, in the Antarctic! (as mike hinted yesterday!) It takes 2 days to get to the moon with Apollo Tech, and even if the coops are super-sonic, it would still take longer than 30 minutes.
They are at a foreign airport of sorts. The Coupe looks impressive and imposing, Shelley ! Will we ever find out what they used to open up such a big underground hole ?
30 minutes from Chicago (essentially where Tracy lives, if I remember) to Antarctica is faster than the SR-71 Blackbird ever got. It’s actually faster than a satellite in polar orbit. The space coupe would have to be constantly accelerating the whole time, which in fact I think it was (since we didn’t see anyone in microgravity). Cool tech, wish I had access to it.
However, speaking of tech: if any of the Tracy family have a smartphone (or a Wrist Wizard), their GPS will quickly tell them where they are if they go outside for even a minute.
Don’t be fooled! It’s the creepy old barn on the edge of town. You know. The one Scooby and the gang found Old Mr. Nastydeath running an illicit hotdog stand in in episode fifty. They just loaded the coupe on a flat bed and drove it there.
Be on the lookout for ‘moon men’ who look suspiciously like hens with ‘goofy teeth’ and cardboard cut-out second heads added. The giveaway will be the after-harrowing-battle picnic.
Good thing Sam stuffed his pockets with potato salad before they left (he’s stowed away in the engine compartment…which also kind of explains why he’ll glow in the dark for the next few strips). But that’s okay. They’ll tun out the lights and tell ghost stories by his light.
I do remember a previous story on here where the Ambassador made a visit outside New Moon Valley to help in a rescue of Honeymoon. There was a mention that he came from one of the Poles.
“Yes Miss Chimera, you cheap carbon copy of my daughter, the trip to our settlement took 30 minutes…and keep in mind that the time it took to build this location, displace millions of tons of rock, the energy needed to run it, and the building materials needed as well went COMPLETELY UNNOTICED by anyone in ANY government or environmental protection organization anywhere on the planet”
And that was thirty minutes well spent, I’m sure. But I am not sure how to interpret the grand view in panel 2: are they entering some kind of huge underground complex through an overhead hatch? Or are they flying along some kind of entry tunnel to an underground New Moon Valley? Or are cruising along a surface complex of some sort?
Ambassador’s “don’t peek” ploy for the moment leaves me baffled at what I’m now seeing. But, next up being a Sunday installment, I expect that there will be substantive clarification….

If they are really on the Moon. Tracy and Honeymoon should experience the reduced gravity of the Moon.

Sort of like New Asgard in the MCU …
… or it will be, assuming we see additional Lunarians. ✨firestrike1 over 2 years ago

the Moon Era began in the 60’s… are we to consider this as Moon Era II?… a new Moon era for contemporary times?…

Moon man looks so deliriously happy I am sorta sorry I suspected him of nefarious underhanded motivations.

Then NMV Ambassador might be feeding Tracy false info to hide the true location of NMV but I still think it is in Antarctica.

It would have been quicker, but he hit all those red lights.

In the second panel, it looks like the Space Coupe descended through a sliding panel.

Better everybody turned their heads, they might not have taken kindly to being blindfolded.

1-GOVADOR: Let’s play a game to pass the time until we get there. SIMON SAYS – RAISE YOUR ARMS!
2-DT: It feels like we’re here. GOVADOR: TRACY’S OUT! He didn’t…what? We are? Oh. You can open your eyes now.
DT: Nope. You didn’t say… GOVADOR: OH FOR THE LOVE OF… Simon says OPEN YOUR EYES!
DT: Nice place you got here – IF YOU’RE A MOLE! GOVADOR: Maybe you’d prefer it outside, Tracy.
DT: TAKE ME HOME! GOVADOR: You are home. DT: GOOD! Wait. What?
GOVADOR: BWAA HA HAAAA! SIMON SAYS – Get in your cage!
