The neighbors have already been setting off industrial strength fireworks starting Friday night.

Lots of illegal fireworks are bought on the Indian reservation and set off locally. To report illegal fireworks you MUST provide the address, the time and names of participants to the police. Yeah, right….

We water all the plants, lawn and keep the hoses ready. Poor dog gets a pill.

Ooooo, aaaaawww, ouch! Go to a profession fireworks show.

My dog’s LEAST favorite American holiday coming up soon. he’s not a pop!, bang!, boom! fan.

And on July 5th, C-Kennel gets a new roof.

Good doggie.

Dogs would never order fireworks!

Fireworks are illegal in my city but impossible to enforce because scores of people violate the law each year. It’s very dangerous, but they don’t seem to care about that. Says a lot for the character of some.

Dog kennels do have fallout shelters, right?

I can hope that this cartoon means that Will ordered “all” the fireworks where they live so that the dogs, veterans and other beings sensitive to sounds won’t have to endure the noise.

A GREAT one!!!!

My neighbours all come to my house : ) We alert them a week ahead of time so that they can manage their pets accordingly, if they need to. We keep it short, m-80s, firecrackers, whistlers and a few others are banned (animal consideration) but overall, my man does a pretty good show and we all gorge ourselves on S’mores and a bottle or two of Bailey’s after. Good times!

I am reminded of the “Breaking Cat News” episode where the kitty Beatrix goes off in a violent fashion about fireworks because her dog best friend is so traumatized. I agree. I no longer have pets, but the fireworks displays for most of the baseball games at the local stadium annoy the heck out of me.

I used to have a Sheltie who was indifferent to fireworks and thunderstorms. He was happy to take walks while either of those were occurring. His hearing was normal.

Like dogs are going to set off fireworks. Give me a break.

Any noise causes me physical pain. The fireworks going on at the house behind me is awful for me to deal with, but I don’t have a choice. I feel for the dogs, always have.
