Worked with a guy like that once. We were taking some site measurements in the building that has the Bull & Finch bar in the basement, the one Cheers was based on (this was when it was still on the air). Had to go down there for lunch, of course. This guy ordered a “dry garden salad and a water, if it’s free”. Needless to say I picked up the tab and covered the tip…
I once walked into a fancy Moroccan restaurant in Los Angeles. There was a maitre’d in a fully tiled lobby which was big enough to be a parking lot. I realized that not only did the place have valet parking, it would probably also involve valet seating . I did not bother to examine a menu to determine it was too rich for my blood and left.

Does anyone else hear Jeremy as John Fiedler? Does anyone else REMEMBER John Fiedler? ;-)

Yes, I remember him well, and no, I hadn’t. In my mind he sounds more like Les Nesman on WKRP

Thanks for looking after Lacey, Jeremy. The time and patience that you give her are as valuable as the money that you spend.
Faith, Hope and Charity, these three abide; and the greatest of these is Charity.

Joanie dear, if Jeremy is paying for everything, then it’s a real date. If not, pay for yourself.
