Of all the characters in this strip, I think I like Kim best. She’s the most level-headed one I can think of.

Sometimes great ideas come too late. I interviewed at a place on the Embarcadero in San Francisco at the end of the Twentieth Century. It was for a job at a tech firm run by two guys who had the idea of reconditioning old memory units and adapting them to use on newer computers.

I looked around and asked a few questions. There was one gadget the size of a washing machine, which I was told was a 10 MB memory bank.

Yikes! I realized that these guy were out of business and did not know it yet. I left a fake phone number and continued my job search.
