The rioting wolves are but a distraction, an easy scapegoat for blaming the disappearance & slaughter of individual pigs, so that the real perpetrators can operate unnoticed & with impunity.

This has nothing to do with food. Someone is just trying to remedy the housing shortage. Looks like a prime apartment. ;-)

It’s not about the meat, it’s about the numbers.

But, we’re not complaining about the meat. Something had to make those teeth marks on the bones found in the river.

LizardPriest: “Like morlocks summoning the eloi.” That was a true classic. Anybody else remember that movie?

Accidentally stumbled across “endtown.com” – what a wild surprise! A copy of Sarah with Piotr leading her to his apartment! Thought one: Dark as that story was, this one is even darker. Thought two: Wouldn’t this be a great time to check in on cat and lizard? (with apologies to moose and squirrel)

How many phone calls did it take to get Edgar to this point? What other forms of indoctrination have been taking place? Are we seeing a type of hypnosis?

More like Soylent Green than The Time Machine in regards to method. But they (whoever they are) seem to prefer to skip the processing for Soylent Green.

BTW, why the random button? The stories are arcs, not isolated strips. Wouldn’t a table of starting points be better for this strip? Maybe tags?

I guess various pigs have tried to yell at the caller, telling him/her where to go.

Well, at least there are not a bunch of mutants (or top-siders) running around chanting, “Kill the Pig!”

The riots create a distraction. Hide the real fruit of the harvest. This is a trans-reality issue. Some one is harvesting from this world.

Although at first it seemed like there was some strife between the wolves and the pigs; it appears that both the wolves and the pigs are being manipulated by someone from outside both those groups. The wolves are being pushed into loud social unrest (riots and mobs); while the pigs are being told to sacrifice themselves. I got the impression that the bones that were found—with the toothmarks from multiple species—were the result of some kind of ritual…a “sharing of the flesh” kind of thing. Are the wolf riots just to cover the activities of the swine-eaters?
