For novices they have “cheater” chopsticks with a little hinge at the top to hold them together.

I have had Japanese mothers ask me to teach their children to use chopsticks properly, but then, I was born here in 1948.

FTGTC = Failure to Grasp the Concept. Also Failure to Grasp the Chopsticks.

For a novice as clueless as you, I would recommend a knife and fork.

You’re too young for a bicycle, so I got you this unicycle.

I always thought they ought to make hollow chop sticks for soup. Maybe there was a patent infridgement problem with the straw patent.

Actually, it is safer learning a unicycle than a bicycle. If you lose your balance, there is no frame to tangle in as you bail out.

There was a scandal in Canada when the Official Languages Act was coming in. In classifying English or French schools a girl was asked to set a table. She got the plate, no bowls in the choice, and a spoon. They ruled she didn’t know English. Her table setting didn’t use knife and fork, but chopsticks.
