Leasing is a total rip-off. When it comes to anti-scam amulets, you should always go the rent-to-own route.

That’s nice. They let him lease. It’s the lease they can do. They will soon let him upgrade to lease a deluxe amulet and anti-scam bracelet lease.

It serves the same purpose as rabbit’s feet, Christian crosses and “worry beads” do for some – it’s a distraction from having to deal with one’s life as it is being “lived” and makes you “think” you’re doing something proactive when you’re actually doing nothing – at least nothing USEFUL…

I think I recognize the style of amulet.

It’s a “quantum energy” pendant, made of a natural mineral which is said to emit negative ions with health-giving properties. They’re supposed to protect you from all sorts of bad things.

You can buy them online, and they aren’t very expensive.

    Don’t.

They generate “negative ions” in the form of beta particles – high-energy electrons. The mineral they’re made from contains naturally-occurring thorium, and is radioactive.

Wear one of these next to your skin for long enough, and you can get a radiation burn.

They’re great for demonstrating that your Geiger counter or scintillometer is working.

For protecting you from scammers, frauds, and bad energies, not so much.

The scammers just love this guy. They find his gullibility quite charming.

Reminds me of Fred Fitch from Donald Westlake’s novel, ‘God Save the Mark’
