At least they’re buying them. Hope it’s the same package they tried out.

Notice the “Bac To School” sign in panel 2… she could have tried the markers to make a ‘K’.

Works for me. I don’t know how many pens I tested on my hand to make sure they worked, but it was a lot. Even to this day.

My older daughter is addicted to stationery supplies. She has a pen collection that is not to be believed! However, since she gets most of them from Dollar Tree, she can usually find an opened package to test the pens on (and if she loves it enough, doesn’t even bother testing it…but she’s been lucky thus far; they’ve all worked).

Looks like typical kids of today no matter the age. Stooped parents just let them get tats.

Tattoos are a turnoff for me. Perhaps it is because too many of my parent’s and grandparent’s generations were forced to get tattoos – numbers on their forearms.

Don’t they say that the ink in those pens are not to be worn on the skin?

The lady clerk in the store looks like my MIL. Same sour look, too.

Human flesh has different ink absorption properties than paper and papers differ in their ink absorption properties depending on the quality and slickness of the paper. And inks have differing properties depending on the ingredients in the ink, mostly due to the water content and how fine the pigment is ground before introduction to the water.

Kids! Why can’t they be like we were, perfect in every way? What’s the matter with kids today?

Some of those “tats” would have to have been written by each other, for instance, “Elizabeth” in script on Liz’s forearm. She could not possibly have done that herself.

The typical 555 prefix that we see in almost every movie with a phone number on Candace’s arm.

You can tell these girls have common sense and common decency. Other kids would have just tried them out on the display, on the walls, and on the other merchandise.

I think the missing colors on the pen boxes is a glaring mistake. The colorist was lazy today.

I like the misspelled notice board in the second panel BAC TO SCHOOL.
