Since I do not see anything in the first panel that would attract Elizabeth to going back outside, I must draw the conclusion that there is something inside we have been shown for Elizabeth to think it is even worse than this terrible weather. The answer is obvious. Yes, it is Elly’s cooking. She popped the lid on that pot and Elizabeth is ready to head back outdoors. Simple cause and effect.
Well when you have no bridge to bungie jump off of, go headlong into a driving wind after all it is the thrill of the potential danger that makes it fun.
It kind of looks like that here today. Windy, cold, leaves flying all over the place. Icky. I walked in it this morning with my dog and will again later.
Going out in wild weather humbles me, and makes me appreciate and respect the unfathomable power of nature. Unlike some, however, I won’t take stupid chances with my safety. Mother Nature cares nothing for my existence, and will wipe me out in a heartbeat.

I sort of like the winter weather, if only to prove I have a warm house.

You’re warned there’s a big tropical storm coming and you shouldstay indoors.
That’s the cue to head for the beach with your surfboard and “take your chances”.

Farley might need a walk. If he’s picky, he won’t go. Mine will go anywhere I go. Snow, ice, heavy rains, new places, hospital rooms. She’s up for it.
