The first time Shawna-Marie has appeared and been called by name. Welcome to the comic strip, Shawna-Marie!

Let me see if I have this straight.

They go to Candace’s house because Candace said they could use her brother’s computer. Candace must be there to let them in and to let her brother know what they are doing with his computer. Candace is there in her own house with her brother present using his computer for his sister’s project assignment, and yet Dawn and Shawna-Marie do all the work and Candace does nothing. This story has some holes in it.

Second weird part is calling Dawn, the skinniest girl in the comic strip, “flatso”. Dawn may be flat, but she is most definitely not fat. Either the brother has vision problems or doesn’t know what the word “flatso” means, or there is another hole in this story.

Why are Dawn’s “friends” laughing at her for this? It was bad enough Candace’s brother did it, but do they have to enjoy Dawn’s humiliation so much?

That’s NOT funny, Liz! Think of all the times Michael called you “Lizard Breath”!

Candace put the stuff in the computer after the other girls had done the work of researching and putting the report together. Candace didn’t care about working so they could all get a good grade; she just wanted to try to entice the brother who apparently is ore interested in hockey than girls.I made a committee assignment to some 8th graders. One of the bright girls on a committee of 3 told me (about a misfit boy that she chose for her committee to help him feel wanted) “Oh, I am so sorry I picked him” because he wasn’t carrying his end of the load. I told her I admired her for trying.

Definitely dating material…yes….

I see your replies on here all the time, criticizing the comic strip. You know, you’re not forced to read it, right?

Whomever the brother did it to, he is a jerk

So if he ahd his hockey shorts in his hand to whap Dawn, what was he wearing at the time?

Did you get a clue?

Sounds like a big “Never!” to me.

School cafeteria—-backyard gossip fence with french fries

So what I’m noticing in these comics is that (1) Canadians shrug their shoulders A LOT when talking and (2) they also laugh with their tongues protruding out of their mouths.

I like that Liz says “Candace would let you guys do all the work” as though they were hoping she would do it as a favor to them or something.

Yeah baby, the hardest lessons can be the most embarrassing as well can’t they ? ;-)

Neither of the situations is very nice. But that’s the way it usually goes

You don’t like any of the characters in this strip, do you?
