Baby: Ooh! Can I play dad ? Dicky: Sorry, champ grand theft auto's a grown -up game. I don't want you turning into a serial killer or somethin. Baby: will it turn you into a serial killer? Dicky: Yeah, right! like I have that sort of time! Dicky: practically my whole day is work, errands and carting you kids around. That schedule doesn't exactly lend itself to stalking killing and hiding bodies. Baby: But it's fun right? it looks fun Dicky: also murder is very very bad I probably should have mentioned that first.

if videogames had that kind of influence I should’ve been an expert sniper, trained combat soldier, expert in multiple martial arts and war strategist by now. In reality I can barely plan what to buy for dinner for the next 5 days.

I don’t get disturbed by some violence in video games. Without conflict there is no exciting story line or challenge. Being amused by the dark side of life just isn’t my cup of tea. I don’t understand how people find it fun to be imaginary criminals for hours a day.
That doesn’t mean that players will become criminals anymore than watching murder mysteries will make me homicidal. I just don’t understand the appeal.

Good for you for not letting him play, Dad!
Now maybe just not play it when he’s around or at least awake. Just because he’s not playing doesn’t mean he’s not watching
