It’s going to be a looooong school year.

We still have a week and a half to wait for school to start.

a duration of 10 minutes depends entirely on which side of the bathroom door one is on,

Oh my golly – I’m recently retired and my youngest started school this week. I have experienced this exact feeling! From 7:30 to 3:00pm – seemed like a couple of hours.

For the clock to go from 11pm sunday to 6am Monday takes a few seconds. But from 4-5pm Fridays, several hours. Strange

You wait for that first day of school, list in hand, only to have it end before lunch with half the list undone. First day of school here is next week and as always, it is a half day.

That tea is gonna be seriously steeped!

She must be a very slow reader.

Our schools started the 15th.

I never understood this point of view. I loved having my kids around and dreaded the first day of school. Because my 2nd child had a disability that the school couldn’t cope with I made the decision to homeschool. Best decision ever. They’re all adults, he outgrew his disability and everything’s fine now.

Especially of that relative is your mother-in-law.
