When I was in 2nd grade I liked a boy named Chris. Every day after school he’d walk me to the corner where we had to part ways. Near the end of the school year, my family moved across town. Fast forward to high school. I hoped to see him again (our city only had 1 public high school). I finally did, near the end of my senior year. His locker was right outside one of my classes. One day I slipped a note in his locker that just said, “Turn around.” He read the note, turned…and there I was! Sadly, since it was near the end of the year, we decided not to date, but he DID write in my yearbook, “To my long-lost love.” (He died 2 years ago.)
In high school, I would have loved it someone slipped me an invitation to the girl’s choice Valentine’s dance. At least Paige got something. Happy Valentine’s Day one and all
