There have always been humans who act responsibly and with compassion for others and things of Nature. Likewise, there have always been humans who act totally opposite. Sadly, these days it seems the latter variety out number the former.
Human Nature will probably never reach Perfection because the processes of Decay and Erosion are even more eingrained into the fabric of Reality than that.
I’d be satisfied if it only Evolved to the point where we finally stop committing Suicide by Ignorance and insisting on taking the rest of Life on this Planet with us in the process.

Not sure what Frank means here, but (our) human nature is toward selfishness and sinning.
Any search for perfection within ourselves (and by ourselves) is futile.
Humans may desire to have perfection, but human nature is incompatible with perfection.
