Whoa! That toon just broke the, er, side wall!

I prefer to think of it as an accelerated learning course, rather than a propensity toward error.

I never decided what to be when I grew up, so I didn’t.

When talking to kids, I prefer to ask “What do you want to be if you grow up?”

I’ve learned more from failing a few times than I ever did from succeeding right away.

“When I grow up, I want to be the kind of adult who engages kids in actual conversation, as if they were real human beings, instead of just asking them trite, annoying questions.”

Failure is always an option. It’s what you do with it that counts.

Good judgment comes from wisdom.Wisdom comes from experience.Experience comes from… Bad judgment.

A fool will not learn from his mistakes. A smart man will. A wise man learns from somebody else’s mistakes.

I was asked that at one time. I said ‘very, very old’. Still do.

There is a big difference between “knowledge” and “wisdom.”

We don’t want anyone sounding smarter or at least more knowledgeable than anyone else. Everyone must stand the same height. Cut the too tall dandelions down.

I saw a show on TV where they asked a little kid what he wanted to be when he grew up, and he answered “a vampire bat.”
