When I was in college I drove school bus. They drilled this injunction into us starting with the job interview, thru training, with wall posters and periodic reminders thruout the year: Being a little late is OK, but never never never never be early!
“Unrelated” reminds me of my cufflinks bearing the royal crest of Sweden. They’re a family heirloom. My great-great-great- grandfather was a friend of King Carl XIV John. All true, but unrelated. My wife’s grandparents bought them at a souvenir shop ca 1961.
Is every little kid at that school a wheeler-dealer? I’m surprised there isn’t a floating crap game somewhere , maybe in the furnace room. Or is there? With Caulfield in the Sky Masterson role!

A couple of times I actually did skip class to read in the library. I don’t think the teacher knew what to do about that.

Boy, oh boy, I was buying the story line right up until Frazz went and opened his mouth. Good one Mr. Mallett.

Amazing — hair color and mental age just the same as some other convenient fact distractor.
