An hour before we were leaving on a week long fishing trip, our dog came home with a muzzle full of porcupine quills. Needless to say we were delayed a bit..
Hmm. Caulfield is apparently wiser than I am today (perhaps because of no coffee or pipe this morning). I do not get it. Anyone who would explain would earn my gratitude.
Let’s make this clear: What you really want is to return HOME just after the dog throws up on the sofa. You don’t want the dog doing that just after you leave, as the dog being anywhere near your furniture implies you have a house-sitter or visiting pet care. And you don’t want to wish that on them. Even if you have the greatest house-sitter in the world.
Which, if you’re reading this, Robin, all these years later, you rocked then, you still rock and will forever rock.

Apparently, it’s always okay to travel. The refs don’t bother calling it any more.

Does he ever wait to be called on, or does he think simply putting up his hand is permission to start talking?

I like Caulfield’s hand in the first frame, perfectly symmetrical about the arm axis. Cute…

Maybe Mrs Olsen’s dog had an accident on her sofa before she could take him for a walk, and she had to buy a new one.

Looks like the boy next to Caulfield went overboard for St. Patrick’s Day.

She got it at once.

If you travel before it happens, how do you know that it happened until you return?
