I went to semi.rad and semi-rad.com, (same site) and didn’t see any cartoons. Books and sweat shirts and coffee mugs, but no cartoons. Was I in the right place?
I disagree. The fun of running falls of rapidly with increasing heat, above a certain level. Also, shouldn’t the temperature plot be a straight line? I see no point in having temperature follow a sine curve.
Your lips shouldn’t be too frozen this year. Running with a mask under a buff should keep them nice, comfy, and non-chapped. The cost is potentially foggy glasses. However, my glasses fogged up with the buff anyway. Moreover, I’ve found that my mask, properly worn, significantly reduces fogging. Breathing is not an issue: The mask affects breathing just like a buff does – not at all. If you have trouble breathing with your mask on, you should really see your doctor because there is something else terribly wrong with you.
Semi-rad has some good graphs; but Mallett picked one that identifies neither axis. If you assume a set for one plot, it makes no sense for the others. I get the fun versus “fun” but, … ?
I like the graph here. It makes a very clear statement to me. But I checked out the website (I don’t do Instagram) and I’m not impressed with the graphs and charts I saw. Definitely not as good as xkcd.

When is a cartoonist not a cartoonist? When his “cartoons” are just charts and graphs?

There is no such thing as a “fun run.”
Look at the runners you drive past on the street… ever see one that looks like they’re enjoying themselves? No.

Early morning a few days ago I saw a jogger in nothing but shorts, socks, and shoes. He was all muscle, no fat. LOTS of muscle.
It was just above freezing.

I think the quotation marks are important. When I factor them in, I think I understand it. Wow!

So Frazz admits that his winter runs are in fact “fun”, not actual fun. the “fun” curve could be labeled as “smug sense of superiority”.

Try Semi-rad.com (Stupid computers take what you type, not what you mean.)
