Some of my dance community like to dance in bowling shoes because they don’t grip the dance floor, thus saving knee joints. I chose to buy a pair of “regular walking” shoes that I treated with floorwax dust several times before dancing in them. They are ONLY worn on the dance floor. They’re probably about 20 years old now, and all that floor dust has left them with the exactly perfect amount of slide. (The previous pair wore out at about 20 years… but I’m older now and not so vigorous on the dance floor. I think these will last the rest of my dancing days.)
I thought the brown spot was a period in the last panel. I must be tired, I kept re-reading it with a stop there for far too long before I realized it was a (mostly) harmless error.

No, their shoes are NOT for sliding. Otherwise everybody goes down the alley.

Kid is building fun memories. He’ll need them later on.

Might I suggest some curling shoes? Excellent lack of grip on the ice.

They must be great for “Skitching” behind the UPS truck.

Somehow, I doubt that the bowling alley will care much.

An important rule for sliding on sidewalks, don’t go more than 1 block length.
