I don’t think I have ever had a person on the other end of the line when requesting a wake up call. Usually the phone rings until the receiver is lifted. (Or maybe I have been hanging up on these nice people all this time.)

When I worked in a hotel (25 years ago) we had to make those calls in person. Now, they are automated. FYI
