I do not recommend home surgery, especially if I have not a nurse assisting at the time. But if it must be done, let it be done swiftly, surely, and strongly.
Mice, however, can do pretty much what they please, as long as there is a cat to clean up afterwards….
The initial cut in Home Surgery is usually not the deepest but is the most painful, so work fast.
I always recommend self-anesthetizing both the exterior area about to be incised and the brain pain center, prior to the procedure. Lidocaine works great topically and a couple of shots of 151 Rum is a good grip tightener and will help dull the senses.
