Just like a certain pup.

Syrius needs frequent baths… but not if he can help it!

They need baths for different reasons.

Oh, now he likes them(!)

He finds fun the fact a cat needs a bath and thinks they are like himself… but he personally does not like being told he needs a bath…. our first dog needed baths often, but mostly because he loved digging a “nest” in the mud to sit on. And he wasn’t too keen either. Our current lab mix is much more tidy…. but he also (like Syrius) detest baths…. I heard some dogs like being bathed… only most I met rather do the opposite…

No, Sirius, they aren’t.

I would love to see Sirius’ expression if he ever met an elf cat, or a sphinx cat.

“I am a dog. I need frequent baths. Therefore dogs need frequent baths. Elf Cats need frequent baths, therefore (see previous) Elf Cats are dogs.”

Such a patient, gentle mom. Love the expression on Sirius’ face when he proudly makes his joke.

And I suppose a cat who walks on a leash, likes to shake hands, & plays fetch is a dog too? A friend of mine used to have one that he calles his “dogcat.”
