No, this is about the time when railroads start running their Santa trains.

Sixty years ago this month, an engine that looks like that was installed in Freedom Park in Charlotte, NC. Generations of kids played on that train.

So Corky’s now conveniently has a railroad running right next to it? Must be bad for business…

Most of the old locomotives ran at a lower temperature and pressure. Radiator hose and enough clamps will get you there. See what slim has at the garage.

Maybe it’s an engine from the Cliffside Railroad, featured once in GASOLINE ALLEY. Jim Scancarelli has attended Cliffside Days celebrations. The old steam engine ran from the mill in Cliffside to the Seaboard (now CSX) connection in Ellenboro.

So, did “Ol’ Sally” run over Rudolph the Reindeer and that is why his antlers are on her headlight?

That’s like a burst aneurysm in people. and make sure the water level doesn’t get too low or it could put Ol’ Sally in a ditch in Stockbridge, Massachusetts .
