A lot of comedians make fun of the change-in-the-phone booth routine, but in fact, Superman did that only twice in all the times he’s been in the comic books. That happened in these two stories:
Jimbo uses the equivalent of the sitcom laughtrack by having one character laugh at another’s comment. How else would we know Slim said something funny?
It’s just a comic strip. What can you expect from it when Uncle Walt, what was he, a Spanish American War veteran?, is still alive? And Skeezix, Who is well over 90 looks and acts thirty or forty years younger, not to mention, the grandson and son who was in the Vietnam War and would be late sixties or early seventies?
