He wakes up from his coma in 2031. Amy’s a waitress in Carrot River, Saskatchewan, and a mother of three. Coach Kaz is serving the last year of his sentence for pushing steroids to underclassmen. Jarvis White is the school’s new principal. And, yes, Gil’s still the coach and AD.
And the first words out of Lucky’s mouth: “… did we … get second … in the Valley?”
I took a quick look at P1 and thought that “Krak” was a “Hraack” and I was looking for the peacock to return. But it was just a foul ball and then Amy was back. She probably couldn’t find the peacock either.
6-4-3 DP and no joy in Mudville. But Lucky has learned from Gil what the important things are and will be a better person for it. And Amy will dump him for the idiot he is.
@BluedarterI caught. With runners on base and contact is made, especially on such a long-hit ball as this, you are up and getting ready for a play at the plate. Just like any regular fielder you are thinking ahead about where you should be and anticipating the ball coming to you, whether hit or thrown.

Check out Lucky’s eyes, if you can see them through that mask. He appears to be looking off to his left rather than at the pitcher.

Luckey’s breaking the fourth wall, he knows we’re watching him! Why is that guy in P2 waving a turtle around?

Is it wrong to be rooting for a comic strip character to fail?

The guy in P2 is the plate umpire and he’s holding his mask, not a turle, in his hand after the ball was hit foul.

No, I’m pretty sure it’s a turtle, and I’m certain it’s not a turle.

Why is the catcher still in the squatting position in P2?
WoodyTB over 10 years ago
The ump’s armpit makes the “foul” call. Probably because the sound in P1 should be “Ping” with an aluminum bat.
miffedmax over 10 years ago
I like how the umpire took the time to remove his mask, turn his ball cap around, then make the call.

In all reality, Luckey is looking back to the sound of Amys voice and Marty this Buds for you.

P3- Lucky raccoon, wanted to lower the boom, grounded meekly to first base and Milford lost to their rival…..

I wouldn’t share Coach Glory either!

Not sure if today’s MUT is any more thrilling than the real thing, but it’s at least something.

Perhaps Conrad “tagged it” over the backstop fence. Hence, A Chinese Home Run.

At least the turtle’s shell will protect him from foul balls
