Poor excuse there BSpudWebb what happened to that all that talk about working harder you were passing off on Bacon? You want to be taller? Grow some more!
The advice might have paid off, but you’d never know it from the first panel. Leisl’s the one who’s two steps too slow. What kind of defense is that, let the opponent clearly beat you and reach in from behind?
In all reality , in P 1 the girls decided to play Marco Polo for awhile so its perfectly acceptable for Leisl to reach in and grab another player . Leisl had her eyes closed , no foul .
P1 – HUH??? According to the narrative she’s following Bobby’s advice (overplay her right side so that she has to dribble with her left), yet we see her coming up from behind on #20’s left side and apparently fouling her. And from the way she’s holding the ball it looks like she’s in the middle of shooting a free throw. And why is Leisl guarding Goshen’s gargantuan center anyway? (Same girl as a couple of days ago, the only player Goshen has I guess.) I bet if Mimi was at the game she’d be covering a guard.
Well, hang on here: if Bobby is 5’8", and Liesl can look him in the eye at level in P2 … since when does a 5’8" girl in high school play guard instead of power forward?
So Bobby is 5’8". And yet in P2 it appears that Leisl is the same height. She should at least be playing power forward. And in P3, are those 5-year-olds under the basket? I hope so, based on their height. And speaking of 5-year-olds, it’s possible that one created today’s Mopped Up Thorp.
P-3 Bobby making lame reference to Pointer Sister’s “I Want A Slow Lover”. Maybe her question should have been: Are you a Player? Actual reason he’s not playing is that this is the girl’s team.

Somebody has to coach since all of the adults have been taken by the aliens.

Leisl’s case of EES in P2 might have been helpful during the game. At least her eyes would have been open.
Lukebunkin: nice literary reference. I’m teaching that novel to my 10th graders at present.

Lord of the Flies? Great., now Marty Moon is going to be referring to the ball as the “conch”.

Day 21: Gil held hostage. If it weren’t for Bobby, there’d be no coaching at all. No Gil, Kaz or Mimi at the games.

P3 – Bobby looks like Clark Kent at 35.
