Okay this is a wrinkle I didn’t think of.. the possiblity Coach Luke’s Son whose name I don’t know could switch schools. Gil has been more of a dad to him either.. which in turn will give Luke even MORE Of a reason to hate Gil and continue with his over the top supervillian schemes, like say flying all the way to korea to recurit a future baseball great to his midwest high school baseball team just to beat gil.
I was under the impression that even high school teams have more than one pitcher? Unless Luke had 1 or 2 pitchers better than Pedro, who was bred for the Hall of Fame and has a 90mph fastball.
If Cami doesn’t know the difference between benching & relieving she has no business coaching baseball. If Luke pulled Pedro before he threw a pitch, he doesn’t. If Henry…
Um, what state has a its own foreign exchange program that allows a coach to go over an recruit an athlete? The biggest group involved in programs is the International Student Exchange and if any of them see this they will say this is like showing Muslims sacrificing pigs on an altar to Saint Matthew. (I.e. for those who have taken no comparative religion, it means less than nonsense.) He is a foreign transfer, or some other designation, but is not part of any program I can imagine that would designate him an exchange student.
AFS does not allow athletic recruitment, process heavily involves sponsoring organizations from each country, thorough vetting of families and schools. Individual doing this on his own, finding a way to attempt, well, he’d need to get the visa, other checks on the system. I’m not sure what Valley Tech offers Kwan Tak. Our AFS student from Pakistan played baseball, a very good experience with a supportive coach, patient in teaching how it differed from cricket. He was not a star on the team but a contributing part. Whether sports, school play, band, we want them all to get involved in something with a supportive group of mates. Coach Thorp will help with the learning curve ahead, I have no doubt.
Coach Kim is one day closer to joining GilPa and the Milford coaching staff thus, freeing up even more time for Gil to work on his game at MCC. Or do nothing.
Really, Gil? You get faced with a new crisis and all you can think about is lunch? And speaking of lunch, what better dessert after lunch is reading today’s Mopped Up Thorp?

“No, Gil, I haven’t. Think about it for a minute.”

Could Kwan be older than reported, just like Asian cheating in Little League. Who really knows their real birth dates.

Vito’s pretty sore today- he was counting on Luke’s son pitching and instead is having a Korean Nightmare of his own for those that took VT -1.5.
